Dr. Johannes Knueppel
Dr. Johannes completed his Bachelor of Science at UC Davis where he studied biochemistry and molecular biology. He then received his doctorate in dentistry from UC San Francisco School of Dentistry.
Dr. Johannes is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Mateo Country Dental Society (SMCDS) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Johannes moved to the United States when he was in tenth grade. He was introduced to dentistry in high school by going on a dental missions project to Haiti. In the past years Dr. Johannes has continued to participate in other dental missions projects to countries such as Mexico, Malawi, Honduras, China, Haiti and most recently Kenya in July 2012.
Dr. Johannes is committed to staying current with the latest technologies and advances in dentistry by attending continuing education courses. He has successfully completed the White Cap Guided Implant Residency Program and has taken courses in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is a member of Spear Study club, which focuses on advanced comprehensive dental care.
In his free time Dr. Johannes enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie and two sons Lukas and Benjamin. He also likes to play tennis and ultimate frisbee as well as going hiking and backpacking. His family is also involved with Central Peninsula Church.
Dr. Stephanie Knueppel
Dr. Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She moved out to California to attend dental school at the University of California San Francisco, where she met her now husband Johannes. After graduating, Dr. Stephanie completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Palo Alto. Through her time at the VA, Dr. Stephanie gained valuable knowledge in how to manage medically compromised patients and treat patients with complex dental needs.
Dr. Stephanie is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Mateo County Dental Society (SMCDS) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She enjoys learning new techniques to provide her patients the best care possible and has attended continuing education courses on implants, sedation dentistry and all-ceramic restorations. She aims to provide a comfortable and positive dental experience for patients, especially children. Her goal is to provide dentistry that is high quality and long lasting. She originally went into dentistry in order to help those who are in need. To that end, she spends a few weeks each year on dental mission trips to places such as Haiti, Honduras, and Kenya.
In her free time, Dr. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, especially her sons Lukas and Benjamin. She likes cooking, sewing, trying new recipes, and spending time outdoors.
